Heathrow is a master planned community east of Lake Mary, past Interstate 4 and is bracketed by three golf and country clubs: the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes, the Magnolia Plantation Golf Club, and the Country Club at Heathrow. The Country Club is the centerpiece for the community, and many of the most desirable homes for sale in Heathrow have golf course frontage. Like Heathrow, Magnolia Plantation is a planned community, but the focus of this Orlando neighborhood is on bringing nature to the big city. The Lake Mary community is served by the Seminole County public schools system, which includes Crystal Lake Elementary, Lake Mary Elementary, Heathrow Elementary, Millennium Middle, Greenwood Lakes Middle, Seminole High and Lake Mary High. For older students, Lake Mary is home to Seminole Community College, Rollins College and Webster College. Lake Mary is also close to the University of Central Florida.
